How to live a long and healthy life

There can be different takes of different people on the title, but everyone should agree with us on healthy living. There is no point in living a life full of unhealthiness where the body needs to tackle different diseases from time to time.

And it’s been already de-coded that one has to stay healthy and happy for a lifestyle that can be termed as the best.

 

Prepare the body for a long life with exercise:

Exercise is beneficial for the good health of both your body and mind. Physical activity strengthens the body, aids in weight management, improves balance and harmony of organs. In addition, your body releases endorphins, which will relax you and make you feel better overall.

 

Try both aerobics and strength training. Aerobic exercise increases your heart rate and improves stamina. Activities that can be included are jogging, brisk walking, swimming, and many other sports. Try to do these for 75 to 150 minutes a week.

 

Strength training exercises like lifting weights will build new muscles by improving your bone density. Try to do this twice a week.

 

Be aware in advance about identifying and treating your health issues:

Let go of the possibility. It will become more complicated and more difficult to treat. Get a health test done once a year. If your doctor recommends, get other types of screening done. If you have a chronic disease, ask your doctor about a management plan to help improve or prevent it from getting worse.

 

Find out what types of health problems in your family are most at risk and get regular checkups.

 

Protect your psychological health by building close social relationships:

Friends and family can provide plenty of fun in the good times and support through life’s rough times. Maintain your social network by mail, letter, telephone, or in person. Try surprising them on special occasions with gift items such as personalized mugs online. You can also stay connected with people using social media. Social interaction will help relieve you and take your mind off stress. If you’re feeling isolated, consider reaching out to a support group or counselor.

 

Create Happiness:

Spend time enjoying life and doing things that make your life worthwhile. Engage in activities that give you a purpose. Many people enjoy volunteering in their spare time. Nurture your mind with intellectual stimulation. Whether it comes from visiting friends or family, taking an informal course, or learning a new craft, learning will always keep you upbeat about the world around you.

Eat a low-salt diet:

 While your body needs some salt to maintain muscle and nerve function, manage blood volume and pressure, it can be harmful if consumed in excess over a long period. Too much salt can cause high blood pressure and can be fatal in the case of heart, liver, or kidney failure.

Some salt is naturally present in most foods, and salt is also used in some to enhance the taste. Adults should not consume more than a teaspoon of salt per day. If you are healthy, you may need to eat much less than this. Avoid fast food. Not only are they high in fat, but they are also generally high in salt.

 

Cleanse your body by drinking enough water:

 Drinking enough water will help your body flush out toxins, maintain physical activity and keep kidneys healthy. Adults may need to drink about 4 litres of water daily. Your actual need for water is influenced by your body weight, activities, and your climate. The best way to stay hydrated is to drink enough water that you don’t feel thirsty.

If you have frequent urination, dark or cloudy urine, you probably need to drink more water.
