  • Cover and let it chill in the fridge overnight, or at least for 1 hour. 
  • Take a heavy, large saucepan and heat the oil. 
  • Add garlic, onion, ginger, and some seasoning, along with green chili.
  • For 10 mins or until it gets soft, fry on medium heat. 
  • With tomato puree, add all teh spices and cook for more than 2 minutes. 
  • Once the mix becomes fragrant, add the stock along with the marinade chicken. 
  • Cook the chicken for 15 mins, and then add the remaining marinade that is left in the bowl. 
  • Now simmer for 5 minutes, and after that, sprinkle with the toasted almonds. 

Easy Classic Lasagne


  • Olive oil.
  • Smoked streaky bacon. 
  • Onion, finely chopped.
  • Celery stick, finely chopped. 
  • Garlic cloves. Finely chopped. 
  • Carrot, grated.
  • Beef mince. 
  • Tomato puree. 
  • Creme fraiche.
  • Fresh egg lasagne sheets.
  • Freshly grated parmesan.
  • Ball mozzarella, roughly torn. 
  • Clear honey. 
  • Basil leaves, torn.


  • First, start with heating the oil in a large saucepan. 
  • Using kitchen scissors, snip the bacon into smaller pieces and add that to the pan and cook for just a few minutes. 
  • Once the bacon starts to turn golden brown, add the celery, onion, and carrot and cook for 5 more minutes over medium heat. 
  • Stir occasionally. 
  • Add garlic chopped and cook for 1 more minute and tip it in the mince and cook again. 
  • Stir and break it up with a wooden spoon for around 6 minutes until it has become browned all over. 
  • Now, stir in the tomato puree and cook for 1 minute, ensuring they all are mixed well with vegetables and beef. 
  • Tip it in chopped tomatoes and add some water to take the whole tomato puree. 
  • Add the season and honey to taste and simmer for 20 minutes. 
  • Heat the oven to gas 6/ 180C fan/ 200C. 
  • For assembling teh lasagne, in the bottom of the casserole dish or roasting tin.
  • On top of the sauce overlapping, place 2 sheets of lasagne to make it fit. 
  • Now repeat with more sauce and another layer of pasta. 
  • Again repeat with 2 more layers of pasta and sauce, and then finish with a layer of pasta. 
  • Now, put the creme fraiche in a bowl and then mix with the 2 tbsp water in order to loosen it along with making a smooth, pourable sauce. 
  • Over the top of the pasta, pour this, then top with mozzarella. 
  • It is time to sprinkle parmesan over the top. 
  • Now bake for at least 25 minutes to 30 minutes.
